Corey has performed with numerous ensembles including the Livermore-Pleasanton Youth Symphony Orchestra, Chabot College Wind Symphony, and most recently as the contrabassoonist of the California Young Artists Symphony. Through chamber music masterclasses and performances with ReedPlay Quintet and the UCLA Gluck Fellows Program, diverse community audiences are inspired by his music-making and collaboration.

A passionate and exploratory teacher, Corey enjoys teaching middle- and high-school bassoonists of all experience levels. In the last year, he has served as the bassoon coach at Colina Middle School, Whittier High School, and Burbank High School in the Los Angeles area.

Corey is currently a graduate student at the UT Austin Butler School of Music and holds a bachelor's degree in bassoon performance from UCLA. Primary teachers include Kristin Wolfe Jensen, John Steinmetz, and Katie Brunner.
